Once you are familiar with basic Photoshop features, you can start learning how to use the tools to create a variety of effects. For example, you can do a good job of creating some basic textures with the Adjustment Brush, and that includes adding natural earth colors to your photos. Well, with Lightroom 5.1, Photoshop team has invested a lot of efforts to add more functionality and accessibility to the Adjustment Brush. It now brings Painters and Sculpting tools. This means that you can paint freeform wavy lines and custom shapes to objects in image and create realistic looking faces and landscapes with the Brush Tool. If you do not feel satisfied with your work, use the undo button, so you can start over. The Adjustment Brush makes a good companion in Lightroom annotation of images with the Marker Brush.

Another good feature is the ability to apply Color Variations to images. Called the HSL/HSL Variations panel, you can use it in equal parts with Lightroom Advanced panel so you can paint hues around parts of images. An example of Photo Elements software for the same would be the HSL panel you see in the top right corner of the image below:

You can control the color variation settings using different controller panes. There is a panel with a digital variable dial, a check box to control the opacity of that gauge and one for sliders for hue, saturation and lightness. These sliders are read-only, but you are able to stop the values in any of the sliders if you want to. You will learn more on the following pages.

The area around your image is painted in black, white, or a user-defined color. You can change a single pixel, or hundreds of pixels at once using the Move tool. It is widely used to correct small mistakes, such as fixing an issue with misplaced pixels, elements with missing areas or paths, or text that’s hard to read. Adjustments that you apply with the Move tool don’t change your document permanently. You can always change an adjustment later by going back to

completely.

What is Adobe Photoshop

Using the Hue/Saturation tool, you can change the color of pixels in an image. The tool lets you switch between the HSL or HSV color spaces, or use a custom mask to isolate specific pixels to change. Use the Colorize Selection tool to change selected areas to a different color. It works like the Hue/Saturation tool, but instead of changing the hue and saturation values of a color, it alters the grayscale color scale of the given image. What is Adobe Photoshop

There is specific behavior in Photoshop CS4 and later versions that work on both Windows and Mac computers as well as Linux.
